Shawn has brought a trio of championships to the city of Guelph as both the OHL (as head coach of the 2004 OHL Champion Guelph Storm) as well as at the OUA level (as head coach of the 2014-15 and 2019-20 Queen's Cup Champion Gryphons). During his time with Hockey Canada, Shawn has experience both as an assistant coach and a head coach of the U-18 team, including leading Canada to a Gold medal at the 2005 World Jr. Cup.
