Home Alone Programs

We are proud to be able to facilitate the SOS 4 Kids Home Alone Program for our Gryphon Camps Community. Our facilitators have taken the course and deliver the material in a way that is engaging for all participants and allows for flexible programming through experiential activities and games. Home Alone is only offered during the Fall semester.

Fall Kids Programming Registration will open Aug 19, 2024 @ 6:30am. Program details viewable below.

Winter Kids Programming Registration will open Nov 25/24 @ 6:30am. Program details viewable below subject to change prior to Nov. 1st.

Below Activities require registration & fees apply. Recreation Membership is not a pre-requisite to enroll in Kids Programming.

Home Alone Workshop ONLY| Ages 9-13 | Sun Nov 3/24

Program: 12:15pm-5:30pm (Drop-off 12-12:15pm, Pick-up 5:30pm). This workshop is designed to provide participants with the skills & knowledge to be safe when on their own at home or elsewhere for short periods of time. The following seven modules will be delivered by trained program facilitators through a mix of in-class facilitation & interactive activities: Street Smarts, People Safety, Online Safety, At Home Safety, Fire Safety, Injury Prevention and First Aid. *Registration ends 1 week prior to start date.

Home Alone Program

The Home Alone Safety for Kids program helps children and their families get ready for their child’s first steps towards independence and being without adult supervision for short periods of time. This safety program is ideally suited for children aged 9-12 years old. Safety and accident prevention are the common themes throughout the program.
