Discover Rock Climbing | Ages 8-13

Rock Climbing offers a unique environment for children to explore and become more aware of how their bodies move on the rock wall as they progress through bouldering, harnessing, belaying, and then conquering top rope climbing. They will be inspired to set goals and develop teamwork skills as they learn proper safety & rock-climbing techniques. Participants will be grouped according to their climbing exposure and the program will culminate with a ‘friendly’ finale challenge to put new skills to the test. Jays Care - Girls At Bat | Ages 7-14 | June-August

Jays Care - Girls At Bat Program
Sundays - 6:30pm-8:00pm
Begins Sunday June 8th, 2025
(8 program sessions and 1 group finale)
Cost: $27.00/person
Ages: 7-14

This is our fourth summer working with the Jays Care Foundation in delivering the Girls At Bat program. We are excited to welcome new and returning participants to the program. We will be using both twin diamonds this year to allow us to break into smaller groups and will group people accordingly.

We’re partnering with the Jays Care Foundation in this 9-week program to engage female-identifying girls ages 7-14, which are often those that find themselves sitting on the sidelines. The Jays Care Foundation promotes the theory of change. This is as follows: from baseball, to access, to belonging & connection, to variations. Participants will develop skills in all of these ingredients as they are inspired by sport in a positive peer network that will help build confidence and create a stronger connection to community.

This program is ideal for those new to baseball or who just want to have fun learning the skills. This is not a baseball league, so it's not just ball games every week, rather activities that build skills and encourage growth.

No specialized equipment required (we provide gloves, helmets, bats). Comfortable clothing and running shoes are recommended.

Please note that we will not have programs on Sunday June 29th or Sunday August 3rd. Our group finale will be held on Sunday August 17th

The Recreation Membership is NOT a pre-requisite to register for Kids programming. Taxes not applicable.
