Established in 2024, the Gryphon Run Club is a welcoming community of runners at the University of Guelph. Our club offers students the chance to connect with like-minded individuals, make friends, and be part of a supportive and motivating community.

We are a judgment-free, inclusive space that welcomes runners of all experience levels—from beginners to seasoned athletes. Members can join us for weekly group runs where the focus is on enjoyment, not competition. We begin and end our runs just outside of the Athletics Centre and have various outdoor route that are approximately 5km or 30 minutes. 
The Gryphon Run Club is active in the Fall and Winter terms and we run in all weather conditions.

Through our partnerships with local businesses including The Running Works, we are thrilled to offer many special events including our popular Glow Night Run, shoe demo runs, weekend coffee runs, more! Registered members can also participate in our monthly giveaways featuring prizes valued at about $50 of running-related gear from The Running Works.

 

The cost to participate in the Gryphon Run Club is $15 per academic year (includes both terms).

*All clubs memberships require a prerequisite base athletics membership.  Currently enrolled, on-campus students already have this prerequisite membership during the Fall and Winter semesters.  For all other community participants and students attending classes in the summer months, a monthly base membership is required for purchase before enrolling into a club.*
