Senior Activity Camps | Ages 9-12

Campers engage in skill-based activities that help them to apply their learning to everyday situations. With a strong focus on positive social interactions, team building, self-reflection, and physical activity, this camp offers a variety of fun, recreational, and artistic opportunities. The programs encourages campers to explore new experiences and adventures while fostering personal development.

• Campers continuing their summers with Gryphon Camps will be introduced to new, advanced, and unique activities and challenges.
• This program acts as a transition for senior-aged campers to other Gryphon Camps.
• Campers will participate in recreational swimming 3 times per week.

Pricing and Registration Details

In small groups, campers will work together to dive into passionate topics and bring their ideas and opinions to life through podcast creation at CFRU, Guelph's Campus and Community Radio Station. Campers will receive hands-on learning in all aspects of podcast production, including recording, editing, and interviewing techniques. With guidance from CFRU staff, each group will produce a short podcast, showcased at the end of the week and with the exciting possibility of potentially being featured on CFRU's radio station!

• Senior Activity - Voices on Air is divided into two age groups, allowing camper families to choose which age range is best for them to register.
• Campers will not participate in recreational swimming.

Pricing and Registration Details

In this NEW hands-on journalism camp, campers become reporters, editors, and designers as they bring the stories of camp to life. From conducting interviews and drafting headlines to assembling a full newspaper layout, campers will explore every step of the news-making process. Their hard work will culminate in a printed camp newspaper showcasing the week's biggest stories.

Pricing and Registration Details

• Senior Activity Camps will include 2 staff per 20 campers (ratio of 1:10).
• Campers can look forward to Whimsical Wednesdays, a day with a few 'twists' and Fun Friday Finale, theme-based challenges to conclude their camp week.

Minimum Age: Campers must be no younger than the minimum age by the end of the calendar year (December 31st).

Maximum Age: Campers must be no older than the maximum age by the end of the calendar year (December 31st).  

Pick-Up & Drop Off:

Drop-Off | 8am to 8:45am

Programming | 8:45am to 4pm

Pick-Up | 4pm to 4:30pm

Post Camp Extended Day Supervision | 4:30pm to 5:30pm
