Senior Activity Camp & Gryphon Sport Extravaganza | Ages 9-13 | Born: 2009-2013

Senior Activity Camps

Senior Activity Camp offers youth an opportunity to continue their summers in the Gryphon Camps program while being introduced to new, advanced, and unique activities and challenges.  The camp acts as a transition to other opportunities that may exist for this specific age group within the Gryphon Camps or in their daily lives.

Teambuilding Challenges

We emphasize positive social interactions, skill development, reflections, teambuilding, and physical movement through a variety of fun recreational activities, art opportunities and challenges.

Skill Based Arts Program

In the Senior Activity Camp program, we strive to take our arts program to new heights. We select crafts that will allow our campers to discover a new skill or talent, one that they may want to continue with outside of camp.  These arts projects are fun, unique and allow camper's to tune into their creativity.

Games! Games! Games!

We like to keep active with our Senior aged campers.  Thus, we have fun games planned for both Senior Activity Camp and Gryphon Sport Extravaganza.  It will get the campers active, learn about a new sport or activity and socialize through the playing of a sport or game.

Gryphon Sport Extravaganza

Let's get Active!! At Gryphon Sport Extravaganza we will have lots of fun and keeping busy by trying out new sports and participating in some themed challenges that will be physically active. This camp will keep you busy and learning a few new activities to try out after camp.

New Sports

In Gryphon Sport Extravaganza, campers will be introduced to new sports along with ones that they may know or play recreationally. This camp is about being active, having fun, a little competition and trying out some new activities.

Gaga Ball

Many campers love this game when they come to camp. Come learn about Gaga Ball and see if you can become the new champion!!

Senior Activity Camp | Ages 9-13

Senior Activity Camp offers youth an opportunity to continue their summers in the Gryphon Camps program while being introduced to new, advanced, and unique activities and challenges.  The camp acts as a transition to other opportunities that may exist for this specific age group within the Gryphon Camps or in their daily lives.  We emphasize positive social interactions, skill development, reflections, teambuilding, and physical movement through a variety of fun recreational activities, art opportunities and challenges.  This camp program will have a specifically designed theme that is age appropriate and enables campers to be engaged in new experiences and daily adventures.  Campers will participate in our Whimsical Wednesdays, where we create a day that has a few 'twists' to the .day.  Then our Fun Friday Finale, brings the campers to some theme-based challenges to 'wrap' up the week of fun.

Senior Activity Camp will have recreational swimming for campers on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

Gryphon Sport Extravaganza | Ages 9-13

Are you someone that loves to be active, learn new sports or games, play sports for fun, and socialize through sports? This new camp will have campers experience other sports that Gryphons play and games that keep everyone active and have some fun competition.  Campers will be moving all day long!

Youth will have an opportunity to continue their summers in the Gryphon Camps program while being introduced to new, advanced, and unique activities and challenges. The camp acts as a transition to other opportunities that may exist for this specific age group within the Gryphon Camps or in their daily lives. We emphasize positive social interactions, teambuilding, and physical movement through a variety of fun recreational activities, sports and challenges. Campers will have the opportunity for recreational swimming opportunities throughout the week.

Gryphon Sport Extravaganza will have recreational swimming for campers on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

 

Mon July 11 - Fri July 15, 2022 | Gryphon Sport Extravaganza Ages 9-13 | Theme: Can You Be Stumped? Riddle and Mystery Week | [SPACES AVAILABLE]

This week we are bringing some mystery games and activities!! We will be playing new sports and games that you will have to use some of your own creativity to determine the sport. Rules will be different and keep you on your toes for these games during the week. It's going to be a fun week of challenging games and activities.

Mon July 11 - Fri July 15, 2022 | Senior Activity Camp Ages 11-13 | Theme: Can You Be Stumped? Mystery & Riddle Week | [SPACES AVAILABLE]

Can we stump you this week on these challenges and activities? Are you a myth buster? This week will take all the campers on adventures around campus that will have you work in your teams to solve mysteries and riddles. We can't wait to see how you think outside the box and work together with your fellow campers to solve the mystery of the week.

Mon July 25 - Fri July 29, 2022 | Gryphon Sport Extravaganza Ages 9-13 | Theme: Camp Goes To Hollywood (Sports and Games from Movies) | [WAITLIST ONLY]

This week we are heading to Hollywood!! Not only will we learn new sports this week, but we're also play some of the games and sports from famous movies. We'll play Dodgeball, Quidditch, Car Racing, Vertical Limit (climbing), and other famous movie games. It's going to be a great week of challenging ourselves to new sports.

How much energy and enthusiasm do you have?? This week you will need to work in your cohorts on special challenges that will bring out lots of energy. Just like how a rainbow brightens the day with its colours, Spirit Week will have everyone in team colours and doing activities and challenges to brighten the day and show off your Gryphon Camp spirit!! NOTE: No camp program on Monday (Civic Holiday)

Yee Haw! We're going to take our sports to the Wild West this week and try out some country sports and backyard games. It's going to be a fun filled and active week as we test out our skills and new knowledge. We'll have fun in the speed milking contest and ring toss along with other fun games. Fun twists to some of the classic sports and games.

Giddy Up!! We can't wait for this last week of camp as we ride off into the sunset with our Western theme. We will have a blast with camp favourites, while adding in a little western theme to the week and challenges that will show your true western skills. Get ready as we have a Gryphon hoe down with fun dancing. Yee Haw!!
