Through the creative programming of our Junior Activity Camp combined with daily learn-to-swim lessons, campers will develop water safety skills and learn swimming basics while gaining self-confidence, independence, new skills, and new friendships. The program is for campers of all skill levels, including those with zero previous swim experience. Upon arrival, campers are grouped based on skill level, and throughout the rest of the week instructors will focus on the progression of each camper and include water safety-themed activities, games, and crafts.
- Swim 2 Survive Camp will include 2 staff per 18 campers (ratio of 1:9).
- Campers will gain confidence in the water through daily 90-minute swim lessons with certified swim instructors.
- Instructors will support and teach campers with the goal of completing the Lifesaving Society's Swim to Survive Challenge (roll/tread/swim).
- Campers will move throughout the university campus experiencing new games, challenges, advanced skill development-based crafts, and physical activities with campers of similar ages.
- Campers can look forward to Whimsical Wednesdays, a day with a few 'twists' and Fun Friday Finale, theme-based challenges to conclude their camp week.
