Description
Atcha Crew is the UofG Competitive Hip-Hop Dance Team. Established in 2011, Atcha Crew is now in its fourteenth year of existence. Our dance crew is known to perform at numerous showcases with other universities as well as a few competitions per year. We focus on the fundamentals of Hip Hop including styles like Popping, Locking and branch into styles such as Dance Hall etc. When describing our club, Atcha Crew represents an overall vision of street style, while utilizing various techniques and skills. We have competed at Ontario Universities Competition for Hip Hop (OUCH), Reach Dance Competition, and now Momentum Dance Competition.
The competitive team holds rehearsals twice a week for a total of 8 hours in preparation for 1-2 competitions per semester.
Previous dance experience in urban choreography and/or hip-hop is highly recommended.
Atcha Crew holds auditions in both the fall and winter semesters.
Estimated Fees
$20 per Semester
*All clubs memberships require a prerequisite base athletics membership. Currently enrolled, on-campus students already have this prerequisite membership during the Fall and Winter semesters. For all other community participants and students attending classes in the summer months, a monthly base membership is required for purchase before enrolling into a club*
