Accessing U of G athletic facilities as of March 1
The province is lifting requirements for proof of vaccination in high-risk settings as of March 1. All patrons of all Athletic facilities will still be required to show the result of your U of G COVID-19 Daily Screening Form, but you will not be asked to provide your enhanced vaccination certificate with QR code.

At U of G, COVID-19 safety protocols and adherence to these protocols have been instrumental in keeping everyone safe.

U of G’s existing COVID-19 safety protocols remain in effect, including the following:

U of G Vaccination Policy
• All those age 12 and over who come to our campuses and facilities must be vaccinated. For information on this policy, please see here.

U of G Daily Screening Form
• All those coming to our campuses and facilities must complete the U of G COVID-19 Daily Screening Form and follow its direction before arriving. Remember: If you are sick, stay home.

Masks
• All members and visitors are required to wear a mask at all times while in any Department of Athletics facilities. This includes in changerooms and dressing rooms. Masks may only be removed when physical activity starts and must be put back on as soon as the activity ends. With the higher transmissibility of the Omicron variant, U of G has updated its requirements for masks worn on-site for students, staff, and faculty. Students, staff and faculty must wear a medical style mask while on site. Community visitors and members may continue to wear 3-ply cloth masks that have proper fit and adequate filtration, or choose to wear a medical style mask. Bandanas, buffs, and scarves are not acceptable.
• If you have finished 5 days of isolation and are returning to physical activity you must continue to wear a well-fitted medical mask in public for an additional 5 days after leaving isolation. If you are working out in the gym, playing team sports or participating in recreation or class, continue to wear a medical mask for an additional 5 days to avoid transmitting COVID-19 to others.

In addition, we strongly encourage everyone in our community to receive a booster dose of a COVID-19 vaccine.

We are committed to keeping our community informed about operational changes that occur because of the COVID-19 pandemic. For the most up-to-date information on the Department of Athletics relating to COVID-19 please visit our COVID-19 webpage and FAQ’s.
