Gryphon Kids and Camps is proud to celebrate Veronica Fisher, a recent Bachelor of Arts and Science graduate and camp leader whose exceptional leadership has earned her the 2025 Jays Care Foundation - Coach of the Year award. Veronica has been recognized for her remarkable dedication, creativity, and impact as a leader in the Girls at Bat program.
This honour reflects the profound influence she has had on participants and her community. According to the Jays Care Foundation, the award celebrates coaches who demonstrate "exceptional dedication, inspiration, and the ability to empower athletes to reach their full potential." Veronica embodies all of this and more.
Her journey with Jays Care began in 2023, when she openly shared that she had limited coaching experience. Through curiosity and dedication, she grew into a confident and inspiring coach. She designed programs that are developmentally appropriate, fun, and ensure that participants feel included and supported.
Her leadership reflects the very best of Jays Care values: purpose, compassion, and care. This award is a testament not only to her skill as a coach but also to the genuine relationships she builds and the community she strengthens through her work.
