Congratulations to Celia Harvie for being named November's Gryphon Greatness winner!
Having just become a member of the GGAC Facilities team during the September 2024 Job Fair, Celia has stepped in and stepped up huge! She's picked up extremely quickly on the many different facets of the role and the other units that keep the department running at full capacity. Jumping into a few BIG event weekends with November 8-9th which may have been one of the busiest 36 hour stretches the building has seen since opening in the Fall of 2016. Celia was here to help with setup of D10 Boys Volleyball and then here again in the next morning to assist with resetting the event centre for 4 games of basketball on Saturday the 9th as Gryphon Athletics hosted D10 Girls Basketball finals and OUA action against Toronto. Later in November, on the 24th Celia was here during the largest Cheer Challenge competition we've hosted in the GGAC since the event started coming here over 5 years ago. With all the extra people comes, more garbage resets, more questions about the building and where to go and more general assistance to multiple units and the event client as well.
Through it all Celia showed her poise and calm when things get busy and overwhelming. She will be a true leader in the coming years and a perfect ambassador for Gryphon Greatness in November!
