Congratulations to our Gryphon Family who aided in a critical situation this past month.
This month's Gryphon Greatness is in recognition of the outstanding efforts and life-saving actions taken by Zayn Abbas (Client Services Student Lead), and Austin Murphy (Lifeguard), for one of our very own Gryphons. During a medical emergency, these individuals immediately stepped up and stepped in to take actions to ensure the well-being and safety for this Gryphon. Not many individuals hope to use First Aid and CPR skills in real life, but these individuals did not hesitate to use not only their training, but expertise in First Aid and CPR to ensure they did everything they could to support them and manage the situation at hand during a busy time of the night. This clearly demonstrates their ability to not only take action and be accountable to the safety of those using our facility firsthand with First Aid and CPR, but also the integrity and leadership required to manage a situation of that magnitude with everyone involved. The efforts of these staff are commended every single day, and they continue to demonstrate what it means to be a part of a Gryphon community to support and take action whenever and wherever needed for others.
We would also like to recognize the efforts of the full-time staff from Client Services and Varsity coaching staff for the same efforts and critical care in this event.
