Cheerleading

Game Day

Picture is from 2019 game day. The cheerleading team attends all home football games and select away games. They perform a number of crowd-favourite cheers accompanied by stunts.

PCA Nationals

Picture is from 2019 PCA Nationals. Both the CoEd and All-girls teams won the National Champions title for their divisions. 

Myrtle Beach

Picture is from Myrtle Beach competition 2018. Both our CoEd and All-girl's teams brought home gold, representing the University of Guelph and Canada in an honourable fashion. 

Homecoming

Picture is from 2018 Homecoming Football game. The cheerleading team performs at all home games, including our annual homecoming game. 

Skills

The cheerleading team practices and perfects a complex routine consisting of stunts, tosses and tumbling skills that are performed and competed throughout their season.

The University of Guelph has 2 Cheerleading teams an all-girls and Co-Ed, both teams are highly competitive

Commitment is a must as the team trains 2 to 3 times a week, and attends 3-4 competitions throughout the year within Canada and the US. The team cheers at all home football games and will attend some away games as well. Previous Cheer, Dance, and Gymnastics background is an asset.

Fees:

*All clubs memberships require a prerequisite base athletics membership.  Currently enrolled, on-campus students already have this prerequisite membership during the Fall and Winter semesters.  For all other community participants and students attending classes in the summer months, a monthly base membership is required for purchase before enrolling into a club.*
