Bad Weather?

Checking to see if classes are cancelled due to bad weather? The only time the Department of Athletics will cancel programming due to inclement weather is if the University of Guelph decides to close the whole campus.
When the University of Guelph is closed during inclement weather, the Department of Athletics will be closed, and all programming will be cancelled. As with academic programming, Athletics programming cancelled due to such a closure is not re-scheduled or credited.
Please check the University of Guelph main web page for updates: www.uoguelph.ca or call 519-824-4120 to listen to the general update.

When a winter storm hits, trust these sources to find out whether the University is open:
• www.uoguelph.ca - A message will be posted if the University closes.
• local radio
• Twitter: @uofg
• Facebook: /uofguelph
• U of G Alert – Students/Staff/Faculty can sign up to receive email, phone or text message alerts from our Emergency Notification System

If the University decides before normal working hours to close because of bad weather or an emergency, every effort will be made to communicate that decision by 6 a.m. The University’s main phone line – 519-824-4120 – will also have a recorded message about the closure.
