2025-2026 Staff Appreciation Banquet
On March 27, 2026, the Department of Athletics and Recreation proudly hosted our 11th Annual Part-Time Staff Appreciation Banquet. Each year, this event brings together the dedicated units and individuals who support our facilities, events, and programs, playing an essential role in serving both the Department of Athletics and the community of Guelph within our facilities.
This past year was filled with accomplishments, growth, and countless moments of collaboration. We are incredibly grateful for the commitment and energy shown by our staff as they supported students, members, and community partners throughout a very full year.

Matrix Student Leadership Award – Lexi Runstedler
Lexi Runstedler is the recipient of the Matrix Student Leadership Award for her positive, inclusive leadership and meaningful impact on her team. Through mentorship, energy, and genuine care for others, she fosters a supportive work environment where peers feel confident, valued, and inspired to grow.
Service and Dedication Award – Matteo Puga
Matteo Puga is the recipient of the Service and Dedication Award for his consistent commitment to service excellence, reliability, and professionalism. Through his attention to detail, strong accountability, and a genuine care for others, he creates safe, welcoming environments and supports both his team and community.
Directors Award – Tyler Jones
Tyler Jones is the recipient of the Director’s Award for exemplifying the Gryphon Way through exceptional commitment to service, leadership, and community. Leading with integrity, consistency, and professionalism, he elevates those around him, strengthens connections across teams, and takes pride in the behind the scenes work that contributes to successful events and a more connected community.
