COVID-19 Province Wide Shutdown & and Stay-at-Home Order

On Jan. 14, a stay-at-home order took effect in the province and will remain in effect for at least 28 days. Following government directives, all Gryphon Athletics external business will be cancelled until further notice. For the Department of Athletics, this includes registered programs, fitness memberships and facility rentals.

The information below provides you with details regarding credits and refunds for canceled rentals, programs and memberships. Please note this information is subject to change as the situation evolves.

Registered Programs

You do not need to withdraw or cancel your registration. If you have a credit card number on file with the Department of Athletics, you will automatically receive a refund for the classes we have to cancel. If we do not have a credit card number on file, you will receive a credit on your account that you can use to pay for future registered programs.

Program registration for Winter 2021 is not available at this time. 

 

NRG (Fitness Centre & Fitness Classes) Memberships

U of G students:  NRG Memberships for Winter 2021 are not available for purchase until further notice. 

Other members:  We have suspended pre-authorized membership payments. Once our fitness centre re-opens and fitness classes resume, pre-authorized payment plans will resume, and membership end dates extended. You will not be charged for the time we are closed due to COVID-19restrictions.

Facility Rentals

All rentals for pools, sports fields, arena, courts, and meeting rooms etc. have been canceled. You will get an updated permit to reflect these cancellations. At this time, you will not be able to reschedule cancelled dates, but you can tell us a preferred date for later and we will follow up when we are able to book again.

Anyone with a credit on file based on these released bookings is to confirm with us if you'd like the refund processed or leave the credit there for future use. We'll follow up specifically with all those permit groups in the New year to follow up with next steps. 

**Please note due to the holiday season you may experience a delay in the refund process. All credits and refunds will be issued and we appreciate your patience as we work to process the high volume brought about by our facility and program closures at this time of year.
