New: Movement Breaks!

Join us for a 10-minute movement break to relieve stress in your body and mind throughout your busy study/workday. We will guide you through a quick and effective stretch flow to release tension and reset before returning to your notes or as you unwind before calling it a night. 

Stress becomes too familiar as the exam period and holiday season approaches, leaving your body tense and your mind overwhelmed. Finding time to move your body with a busy schedule can often feel daunting and time-wasting, but adding short stretch breaks to your day is an effective and easy strategy to limit and relieve stress!  

In collaboration with the University of Guelph Library and Gryphons Empowered by Movement (GEM).

Movement Break Mental Health/Well-Being Benefits: 

  • Relieves stress. 
  • Promotes relaxation and mindfulness. 
  • Increases blood flow to the brain, which can improve mood and reduce anxiety. 
  • Improves focus. 

Where: McLaughlin Library, Room 109 

When: Once per day throughout Dec. 4th – 12th
