Campers will combine the fun and adventure of our traditional activity camp with daily learn to swim lessons. Each day participants will spend 90 minutes in the water in small group classes with certified swim instructors. These instructors will lead campers through water safety skills and swim basics with a goal to attempt the Lifesaving Society's Swim To Survive Challenge (Roll/Tread/Swim). The message of water safety will be carried through the remainder of the week through activities, games and crafts, guided by our amazing camp counsellors. No previous swim experience required.
Campers will gain self-confidence, independence, create new friendships, and have new skill development opportunities.
Note: This camp is designed for campers with no swimming experience to those that may have experience. On the first day, campers will show their abilities to the swim instructor who will then place them in the proper skill group. Then throughout the week, the program will be focused on progression for the camper and better their abilities in the pool.
