le Camp Français

le Camp Français gives campers the opportunity to have fun with fellow campers while strengthening their own comprehension of the French language. Each activity allows campers to communicate in French and work on their own skills while having a fun time in camp games. This program is designed for children ages 7-9 and already have some experience with the language.

Fun Outside

Campers will have lots of fun with their fellow campers as they participate in outdoor activities and games.  All explanation of activities are instructed in French and English, so campers can grow their comprehension.

Challenges

Our themes will get campers into character and solve challenges together. This allows the campers to communicate together in French and solve the challenges.  By having the campers work together, they are learning to problem solve and teamwork as they help each other with words in French.

le Camp Français is back for two weeks of specific camp programming at the end of August!!

 

le Camp Français offers a unique camp experience for each individual camper and a camp program that will enhance a child's writing and speaking in the French language along with physical fitness. This camp offers opportunities to learn and practice French. The camp emphasizes socialization, better understanding of the language, physical fitness, increased confidence in speaking and writing in French, and positive social interactions through a variety of fun recreational activities. Activities are explained in both French and English, and campers are encouraged to speak in French.

Campers will have the opportunity to try new games, and challenges across the university campus, participate in advanced crafts that will be more skill development based, and have fun participating in a series of creative physical activities with campers of similar ages.  All weekly programs will be designed and supported through a fun and creative theme for the campers.  Campers will participate in our Whimsical Wednesdays, where we create a day that has a few 'twists' to the day.  Then our Fun Friday Finale, brings the campers to some theme-based challenges to 'wrap' up the week of fun.  le Camp Français will have recreational swimming for campers on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.


This is not a full French Immersion camp, but an opportunity for your child to attend camp in a French and English speaking blended environment. Previous exposure to the French language is preferred.

We're going out to the country for this week's theme! Get ready for a fun week that will be focused and have activities based on farming, agriculture and anything Western. We can't wait to see everyone trying out new things and having a grand ol' time. Yee Haw!!!
