G.R.O.W.T.H. PROGRAM (formerly Girls Inc.) | Ages 9-13 | Born: 2009-2013

G.R.O.W.T.H. PROGRAM

The G.R.O.W.T.H. Camp program, formerly Girls Inc, stands for 'Girls Respecting Others With Teamwork & Heart'.  This program introduces young women to strategies for overcoming some of the challenges they may face during these unique ages and explore who they are as individuals, as well as in a team. 

G.R.O.W.T.H. PROGRAM

Camp program, formerly Girls Inc, stands for 'Girls Respecting Others With Teamwork & Heart'.  This program introduces young women to strategies for overcoming some of the challenges they may face during these unique ages and explore who they are as individuals, as well as in a team. 

Teambuilding Activities

Participants will have the opportunity to challenge themselves, acquire skills in goal setting, gain an appreciation for a healthy & active lifestyle, and create a sense of community.  With an emphasis on team building and new leadership skills, they will recognize their own personal growth.

Fun Art Activities

Participants in this program will have the opportunity to develop and strengthen positive self-esteem, self-expression, and creativity.

Skill Sharing

During our GROWTH program, we encourage participants to share their talents and skills with the others in the group. This gives them confidence in front of a group but allows other participants to learn about new talents or find something that they have in common with someone else.

Friendships

Through this program, we find that campers form tighter friendships with each other. The group develops a community that is built around trust, laughter, growth, and teamwork.  These values stand out in the program and allow campers to create strong bonds with each other.

Outdoor Activities

Our program will take place outdoors and allow for a variety of challenges and games for the group to participate in and help achieve success. Lots of fun and shared experiences will occur during these times.

Self-Reflections

We have daily reflections where the participants can actively reflect on the day's events, as each day has a theme or on the workshops. Campers will leave with recognizing the value of self-reflections and how it can help them grow in the future.

Girls Respecting Others With Teamwork & Heart

The G.R.O.W.T.H. Camp program, formerly Girls Inc, stands for 'Girls Respecting Others With Teamwork & Heart'.  This program introduces young women to strategies for overcoming some of the challenges they may face during these unique ages and explore who they are as individuals, as well as in a team.  The skills and programs that they participate in at G.R.O.W.T.H. will help them tackle issues they may experience in school or in their personal life with 'tools' from the program.

Participants in this program will have the opportunity to develop and strengthen positive self-esteem, self-expression, creativity, challenge themselves, acquire skills in goal setting, gain an appreciation for a healthy & active lifestyle, and create a sense of community.  With an emphasis on team building and new leadership skills, they will recognize their own personal growth. 

Campers will participate in outcome based experiential activities: outdoor fitness and movement classes, nutrition workshops, art program, cooperative activities, workshops by guest speakers, and daily reflections in their own specifically designed G.R.O.W.T.H. booklet.

G.R.O.W.T.H. will have recreational swimming for campers on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

 

The week of August 22nd-26th will include the Home Alone Safety for Kids program as part of G.R.O.W.T.H. The program includes seven modules: Street Smarts, People Safety, Online Safety, At Home Safety, Fire Safety, Injury Prevention and First Aid. It assists campers with skills so they can be on their own at home or elsewhere for short periods of time. The workshops will be delivered by our trained program facilitators.
