WE ARE CURRENTLY IN THE PROCESS OF DETERMINING 2018 CAMP DATES

Looking to strengthen your swimming abilities? Want to learn and enjoy the sport of competitive swimming? This camp will help those that are searching for swimming to be "their" sport, and train them in the art of swimming.

The camp is designed for competitive swimmers with previous competitive swimming experience and between the ages of 8-18.  This is not a learn to swim program.

Competitive Swimming involves strength, endurance, rhythm, coordination and tenacity. It’s the only sport that could save a life someday.

Competitive Swimming Camp focuses on fitness and technique. We teach strokes, turns and starts as well as dryland fundamentals. Video analysis for the swimmers stroke mechanics as well as video footage from some great Gryphon swimmers will be used to help teach and motivate.

Each day will be a mix of swim technique, fitness, games, videos and instruction.

Previous competitive swim experience is not necessary however swimmers should have completed at least Level 9 in the Red Cross system or equivalent is strongly suggested.

Camp Staff will include coaches and athletes from the Guelph Marlin Aquatic Club and the Gryphon Varsity Swim Team.
